View Ridge is a neighborhood in northeast Seattle just west of Sand Point, a former Naval Air Station on Lake Washington. The View Ridge neighborhood was undeveloped for the most part until the early to mid 1900s. The steep hillsides over Lake Washington made trips to the Sand Point area a two-day affair in the 1890s. This area north of the University of Washington has middle to high-end homes, many with a view of Lake Washington and the Cascade mountains.
